Affordable content monitoring and filtering solution that helps administrators manage network Internet traffic.

Web Hawk's modular design lets administrators deploy monitors throughout the network and manage them from one central console. Flexible reporting shows traffic flows in and out of the network, who is accessing what, and how network bandwidth is being utilized.

Features include: easy installation, flexible rules, comprehensive monitoring, page level blocking, over 9.5 million categorized domain names, email alert notifications, automated task schedulers, real-time Internet traffic / bandwidth utilization reporting.

Rules-based access lets administrators monitor and filter sites with adult-oriented, racially sensitive, harmful, or material with legal liability. Web Hawk can be customized to an organizations unique environment to enforce its Internet Access Policy (IAP) and to ensure CIPA (Child Internet Protection Act) compliancy.

Web Hawk can reside on any central network server and consists of three software components - monitors, management console and central database.

Monitors inspect Internet traffic on the local network, log traffic data and enforce the IAP established by organization. The management console is used to configure the network monitors, manage users, set up rules to enforce the IAP and create reports. The central database collects log data and configuration parameters and houses a copy of the destinations database.

Web Hawk supports Windows NT 4.0 SP6; Windows 2000 SP2 (or higher) operating systems; Windows XP SP1; Windows 2003; and Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher. Hardware requirements are a 1.0 GHZ or faster processor; 512 MB RAM; 12 GB free hard disk space, and a CD-ROM drive.

Web Hawk solutions start for less than $1,000. It is available direct from Tangent at www.tangent.com/webhawk
